Santa’s Workshop is back!

Make sure you put the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village in Gozo on your itinerary for a day full of fun and activities for the whole family, on Saturday, December 9th between 10:00h and 17:00h.

Artisans based at the village will welcome you at their workshops, giving you the opportunity to view a variety of local products being created, and stock up on your Christmas gifts!

The village will also be buzzing with games, activities, music, and food, including:

SANTA’S WORKSHOP EXPRESS – FULLY BOOKED

Get to the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village in style aboard the Santa’s Workshop Express, a trackless train ride departing from the Victoria Train Station at the Victoria Bus Terminus.

There will be two return trips during the day, both free of charge: the morning one will depart from Victoria at 10:00h, and leave the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village at noon; while the afternoon ride will depart at 14:30h and have a return at 16:30h.

The train rides a first come first served basis, so it is highly recommended to book your ticket here so as not to be disappointed, as spaces are limited.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure you arrive in time to board the train, as train leaves exactly on time and failure to show up on time could lead to forfeiture of your booking. Please ensure that you present your ticket before boarding. Boarding cannot be guaranteed without a ticket.

GET CREATIVE AND TRY A FILIGREE WORKSHOP

If you have always found yourself curious about traditional Maltese filigree and the technique used to make the delicate jewellery and items we see, book yourself a workshop with George Farrugia, our Master Artisan and winner of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Premju Ġieh l-Artiġjanat Malti.

George will take you through the whole process and guide you in making your own pendant, which would make a great Christmas gift!

Workshop participation costs €30 per person, including the cost to cover all materials used in the workshop. There are three options available, each with a duration of one hour, starting at 11:00h, 13:00h, and 15:00h. Register here to book your preferred slot.

SANTA’S TREASURE HUNT

Ready for a challenge? Interested in learning more about the artisans at Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village and their crafts? Want to try your luck at winning a €100 voucher that will help you stock up your Christmas gifts from the artisans within the village?

Take part in the Santa’s Treasure Hunt that will take place during Santa’s Workshop, with questions and tasks that can easily be carried out while roaming around the village and within the artisans’ workshops.

Look for the QR Code at the Artisan Village to begin the treasure hunt. You will need a mobile phone with a data connection in order to take part in the Santa’s Treasure Hunt.

TAKE YOUR PHOTO WITH SANTA

While at the village make sure to get your picture taken with Santa, his elf, or any other characters. Our official photographer will be roaming around the village to take a polaroid photo, printing it instantly and giving it to you as a memento of the day, free of charge!

While his elves and other popular characters will be roaming the village all day, make sure not to miss Santa, who will be at the village almost all day!

GAMES AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Santa’s Workshop will also have activities and entertainment that all the family can enjoy, including singing and dancing shows, a magician, soap bubble animation, a bouncy castle, games, and so much more!

And food and drink for all to be merry won’t be missing too!
