Berivan Serin, of Rock ‘N’ Art, found she could say things with colour and shapes that she couldn’t say any other way, things she had no words for. Originally from Istanbul, Berivan has been living in Malta for more than ten years and has been painting on stones since coming to the islands.

At first her inspiration came from the local and characteristic limestone found all around, as well as the honey colour that dominates the islands. These caught her attention because they are natural and she could feel the positive conversion and connection from nature to art.

She has painted over 3,500 stones with acrylic paint, and then finishing them off by coating them with varnish.
