The second session of Meet the Artisans certainly got us wrapped up in the craft of gilding!
Held within our workshop within the Ta’ Qali Artisan Village, the session was led by master gilder Pawlu Borg Cardona, who described the various techniques he uses to applied thin sheets of metal to a surface in order to enhance their beauty and richness, especially statues or the traditional Maltese clock.
