Around 30 artisans took part in an online information session organised by the Malta Crafts Foundation during which representatives from the Tax and Customs Administration – specifically from the Customs Department and VAT Office – fielded queries about the regulatory framework and procedures that artisans have to adhere to, which quite often may seem daunting for small businesses.
The representatives provided a general overview of how their respective departments impact the artisans’ operations, along with tackling specific scenarios faced by artisans seeking further guidance, mostly with issues related to e-commerce, VAT, and other issues faced when importing and exporting.
