The Incubation Centre within the Ta’ Qali Artisan Village, which among other facilities will also be housing the new offices of the Malta Crafts Foundation, was inaugurated by the Hon. Minister for the Economy, EU Funds and Lands Silvio Schembri.
The Centre is also equipped to facilitate the provision of workshops, thereby encouraging more people to explore the world of crafts and possibly enticing them to take up opportunities within the sector.
The Minister also launched a new brand for the Artisan Villages in Malta, which will serve as an important tool in their promotion, both locally and abroad. Its concept is inspired by tradition, but looking ahead towards the future, reflecting the energy, dynamism, and multi-dimensionality of the entire artisan sector in the Maltese islands.
