The Malta Crafts Foundation, in collaboration with the Malta Co-operative Federation and Business First, organised a discussion on the application of the cooperative business model within the local artisan sector and the eventual benefits for artisans.
Cooperatives bring together people to advance their common economic, social, and cultural objectives rather than compete against each other, and this model could be ideal for the crafts industry in Malta as it would help artisans to address their common needs whilst maintaining their individuality.
