Marcon Borg Caruana is the artist behind Atelier Nineteen, a practice shaped by a lifelong connection to handmade craft. Founded in 2011, the studio first focused on transforming antique watch parts into distinctive, one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces that explore the passage of time, carrying memory, history, and a quiet presence. Today, her practice has expanded beyond jewellery to include handcrafted metal foil ornaments inspired by Maltese architectural and cultural motifs. Each piece is handmade and unique, created through a slow, meditative process where making is guided by care rather than speed.
