Santa’s Workshop
Santa’s Workshop is back!
Make sure you put the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village, in Gozo, on your itinerary for a day full of fun and activities for the whole family, on Saturday, December 14th between 10:00h and 16:00h.
Artisans based at the village will welcome you at their workshops, giving you the opportunity to view a variety of local products being created, and stock up on your Christmas gifts!
The village will also be buzzing with games and activities, with a few celebrities visiting too!
SANTA’S WORKSHOP EXPRESS
Get to the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village in style aboard the Santa’s Workshop Express, a trackless train ride departing from the Victoria Train Station behind the Victoria Bus Terminus (near the main parking area). There will be two return trips during the day, both free of charge: the morning one will depart from Victoria at 10:00h, and leave the Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village at 12:30h; while the afternoon ride will depart Victoria at 13:00h and have a return at 15:30h. You will need a ticket to board the train. Therefore, while the train rides are free of charge, you will need to book your ticket here, as spaces are limited.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure you arrive in time to board the train, as train leaves exactly on time and failure to show up on time could lead to forfeiture of your booking. Please ensure that you present your ticket before boarding. Boarding cannot be guaranteed without a ticket. Also, should you wish to be informed of any changes or cancellations, particularly due to weather conditions on the day, please email your name and mobile number after making your booking to [email protected].
GET CREATIVE AND TRY A WORKSHOP – FULLY BOOKED
If you have always found yourself curious about some of our traditional crafts, take some time during Santa’s Workshop to learn how to create a small token yourselves, together with one of the village’s Master Artisans. A selection of Creative Sessions are being offered free of charge; however, booking is required. Details about which workshops are available and timings can be found on the registration form here. Kindly note that registering does not automatically confirm your booking. You will receive an official email from the Malta Crafts Foundation upon confirmation. This email needs to be presented to the Artisan prior to commencing the Creative Session of your choice. [Note: The Creative Sessions during Santa’s Workshop are fully booked, but similar workshops are offered on a regular basis]
