Ever wondered how a fine strand of silver is transformed into intricate, lace-like jewellery?

Our first Meet the Artisans session in the new year invites you to discover the delicate yet highly skilled art of filigree, as we visit silversmith Gaetano Saliba in Marsascala.

Renowned for his mastery of this traditional craft, Gaetano will take participants through the fascinating process starting from the creation of his own wire from raw silver, thereby offering a rare insight into a fundamental step of the craft that is seldom seen.

Due to space limitations, two one-hour sessions will be held on Sunday, January 25th between 10:00h and noon.
