Meet the Artisans: Ganutell Creations
With its origins in Malta dating back to the 17th century, ganutell is the incredibly intricate art of using fine wires, thread, and beads to form delicate floral and leaf decorations – a common sight in many local churches, among others.
During this month’s Meet the Artisans session, Janine Cardona will describe how she has blended the old with the new and incorporated this traditional craft into her jewellery creations.
The session will be held within the Malta Crafts Foundation premises at the Ta’ Qali Artisan Village on Sunday, November 26th between 10:00h and noon.
