European Craft Days®
Malta will once again be participating in the European Craft Days (ECD), which this year will take place between April 7th and 12th under the theme “With Heart and Soul.”
This theme places emphasis on the transmission of knowledge and craft from hand to hand, connecting passion and emotion with discipline and skill.
Malta will take part in this European-wide initiative with a number of local artisans opening their workshops, hosting demonstrations, offering courses or workshops, or welcoming visitors to learn more about their work and creative process.

In order to assist in the promotion of these workshops and demonstrations, the Malta Crafts Foundation has also created an interactive online map to provide information on the location of artisans who are taking part in the EACD. The interactive map provides a clear indication of where the public can visit artisans and obtain further insight into their creative work and products.
Details of the availability of each artisan, as well as any workshop they may be organising are shown on the interactive online map. To book your workshop, get in touch directly with the respective artisans on the contact details provided.
The first international event dedicated to crafts, the ECD is coordinated by the French Savoir-Faire Institute and the European Crafts Alliance. This major international event is dedicated to celebrating crafts, and last year engaged more than 1 million people in over 10,000 events spread across 28 particapting countries.
