About

Promoting the Crafts Sector in the Maltese Islands, thereby contributing to the revival, preservation, and long-term sustainability of local artisan skills.

Set up in 2021, the Malta Crafts Foundation embarks on wide-ranging initiatives that seek to generate interest and awareness not only among visiting tourists, but also among the local population especially among students and young people.

It also seeks to stimulate innovation in Maltese crafts and provides assistance to artisans to help them implement the necessary changes in order to transform challenges into opportunities and survive in the 21st century.

The Malta Crafts Foundation is also responsible for the promotion of artisans in facilities such as the artisan villages in Ta’ Qali, Malta and Ta’ Dbieġi, Gozo: two main hubs for the creation and promotion of artisanal crafts and their development in the Maltese islands.
