The National Strategy for the Artisan Sector in Malta – Crafting Ahead – was officially launched by the Hon. Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, marking an important milestone for local craftsmanship and creative enterprise.
This strategy represents our shared commitment to protecting, nurturing and strengthening Malta’s rich artisan heritage, while empowering artisans to grow, innovate and succeed in an evolving economy. From promoting sustainability and collaboration, to enhancing visibility and market access, the strategy sets a bold and practical path forward.
Crafting Ahead will be guiding the Malta Crafts Foundation’s work so that – together with artisans, stakeholders, and partners – the challenges facing the artisan sector will be transformed into real opportunities that will support the sector’s long-term growth, sustainability, and relevance at a cultural, economic, and social level.
