The Malta Crafts Foundation is proud to see the results of its latest collaboration – a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Directorate for Lifelong Learning & Employability within the Ministry for Education, Youth, Sport, Research and Innovation – coming to life through the launching of a course in Traditional Maltese Hand-Painted Lettering and Sign Writing, known as ‘tberfil’.
Hosted at the Foundation’s workshop within the Ta’ Qali Artisan Village, the course is being delivered by Joe Farrugia and is the first course to be included in the Lifelong Learning course prospectus, with others being planned for future inclusion.
In addition to its own courses, as part of its efforts to facilitate the diffusion of artisanal skills the Malta Crafts Foundation is also making this space available to local artisans who do not have their own space to host courses and workshops.
A workshop on beeswax candles and concrete ornaments, along with a course on watercolour painting are currently open for enrolment, but the range of courses and/or workshops on offer is being updated from time to time, so make sure you regularly visit the courses page.
