Building up on the inaugural edition of designMT held last year, the first follow-up event brought together artisans and spatial designers in an environment inspired by the speed dating concept – a unique platform where both sectors could pitch their ideas, share their craft, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Held in collaboration with the Malta Interior Designers Association (MIDA), the designMT – Spatial Design follow-up event was followed by a networking session through which participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into what piqued their interest in what will hopefully be the start of fruitful collaborations between these two creative fields.

Ahead of the session, the Malta Crafts Foundation took the opportunity to introduce its work and various initiatives to spatial designers, amongst which the upcoming Premju Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti, and the Foundation’s participation in the ‘NEXT – Young NEETs shaping EXpectations for The future of Europe’ project.
