As part of the Malta Crafts Foundation’s efforts to promote Maltese artisanship not just locally but at an international level too, filigree artisan Kevin Attard was invited to carry out a series of master classes at the ETAR – Ethnographic Open Air Museum in Gabrovo, Bulgaria.

Students followed a 3-day course in the art of filigree making, designing and producing their own artistic pieces.

One of the tangible results of an agreement signed last year, the initiative was particularly aimed at young students, who expressed a very keen interest in learning more about the beautiful art of filigree making.
