The Malta Crafts Foundation took part in the third transnational meeting of the ‘NEXT – Young NEETs shaping EXpectations for The future of Europe’ project, which was held in Daugavpils, Latvia.
Discussions during the event – with the active participation of youths from across the partner countries (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, and Malta) and local authorities – focused on the effects of war on European young generations, at a time when war is again at our doorstep.
Apart from a European Parliament simulation, the programme also included thematic and creative workshops aimed at fostering collaboration and at empowering youths to overcome fear and build inclusive communities, as well as a visit to the Daugavpils Seondary School of Design and Arts, and other cultural activities.
The project is co-funded by the EU through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme.
